Animals can be classified into 2 group : vertebrates and
invertebrates. Examples of vertebrates are reptiles, birds, fish, mammals and amphibians.
Examples of invertebrates are protozoa, coelenterates,
flatworms, arthropods, annelid worms, molluscs and echinoderms. Examples of arthropods are arachnids, crustaceans, insects and myriapods.
Insect Ecology can be classified into 2 group : Insects and Environment. Examples of Insects are Insects physiology and Insects morphology. Insects physiology are such as Insects life histories. Insects morphology are such as segmented exoskeleton, open circulatory system and bilateral symmetry. Examples of Environment are biotic factors and abiotic components. biotic factors are such as biological competition. abiotic components are such as insolation, climate and geography.
